Presenting the ubiquitous cloud manicure. Can you believe I had never tried it? Well, I can tick that off my list. I actually loved it. It was really dead-easy to do. I have no idea why I pushed it to the back burner for so long. And I was pretty proud of how it turned out...until I put the topcoat on.
In an effort to mitigate the yellowing of my nails, I gave up using Seche Vite. I thought it was at the root of my problem. Because I'm dumb. (It was nail polish...I'm a moron). I switched to Poshe, which was 3-free. But I think I only got maybe 2 months of good use out of it before it started to get gloopy and unmanageable. I managed to get it on my left hand (pictured) but it was lumpy and miserable. It also refused to set up on the white nail. I was so annoyed. I didn't have time to screw around. (my grandfather's rosary was the next day, and it's a 3 hour drive to their hometown. I couldn't just re-do it in the morning.) So I tried to thin it a bit before moving on to the right hand. I didn't even care at this point if it didn't dry in a timely manner, I just didn't want to have wasted money on a product that I couldn't use up. The right hand was worse. By morning, the shrinkage was just awful. WTF Poshe?
So it's been back to the good ol' Seche Vite for me. And honestly, I am much happier. Now I just need to get the thinner and giant bottle!

super cute! never tried poshe but sounds like i'll be steering clear - have you ever tried Out the Door? Thats my fave.
ReplyDeleteI tried it once, but not in a millenia. I might pick that up next time I'm at Sally's. I just worry about the shrink.
