A super special thanks to Amanda. I do not internet all that well.
Update: I forgot to mention that I am also including a handmade makeup bag with these polishes. It was made by my very own awesome mom!
This weekend is Mother's Day. A day when you should say thank-you to that woman in your life for not selling you to gypsies or abandoning you to the wolves. Trust me when I say, she's thought about it more than once. And thanks to Bigmouth Lacquer, I have an awesome present to share! Erica send me four different polishes, and I get to give three away! (I couldn't decide which three to include, so the winner will get to pick between Cutie Mark and We're Bad Bitches.)
My personal favorite is The Last Centurion. It's a lovely red packed full of so much shiny goodness that my camera had a minor heart attack trying to photograph it. Suprisingly, the pic below is with no real clean-up effort! I am a huge fan of polishes that stay where I put them. This is only two coats, and you know how much that pleases me.
And of course, I had to add a matte topcoat to this. It really brings out the amount of glittery flaky bits. Reminds me of a Zoya polish that way.
Next is Click Click Bang Bang. It's a hot-pink square glitter packed into a shifty clear glitter base. For those that don't know, hot-pink is my soul mate. I love fuchsias, but hot-pinks always catch my eye. I can't not buy them. I was a little worried, because I have issues with glitter texuture, but this stuff layed flat on my nail, and lasted chip free for days.
Last, but not least, is Cutie Mark. Ponies are kind of a big deal over here, so I had to pick this one. I've got two coats layered over Rimmel London Wild Orchid, which I bought to do a MLP mani anyway. It was meant to be. This shredded glitter was suprisingly smooth when it dried. I only had to pat down one piece...though, if you're gonna try that, do it before the polish starts to set otherwise you will mess it up big-time. Thankfully, glitter hides a multitude of sins.

Next up is We're Bad Bitches. It is a black and white glitter drowning in sparkly holographic micro glitter. Last night, I made the comment to my husband (who totally cares, shut up) that it looked like my favorite Hard Candy glitter and China Glaze's Fairy Dust had a baby who decided to be a go-go dancer. It's sparkly. My pictures cannot do it justice. (Plus, it dries smoother than Black Tie Optional.) I layered two coats over L'Oreal Greycian Goddess.
Scumbag Camera, won't blur when I want it to. |

And now, for the part you've all actually been waiting for! The actual Giveaway! Don't forget to follow, like us on The Facebooks, follow on The Tumblrs, and our respective Twitters: here and here.
The polishes featured above and in the giveaway were provided by BigMouth Lacquers. The opinions and words are all mine, and were not influenced at all by anyone or anything. This is my first foray into something like this, and god help me I'm hoping I did it right.
I think I may have bought the Last Centurian, literally on Etsy! <3
ReplyDeleteit's pretty awesome. The husband actually said "wow!" when he saw it.
DeleteWhen I was a little girl, my mom always rocked these fierce red talons. Lord I loved those. She is the real reason behind my love of nail polish.
ReplyDeletesee, I hope I pass my love of nail polish on to my kids. Natural hair color and natural nails: two things they wont know I have!
DeleteI do my mom's nails every week....she is dealing with breast cancer and it is the highlight of her week, showing her latest mani and nail art off at all her appointments at the hospital.
ReplyDeleteawww:) It's amazing how one seemingly silly thing like an awesome manicure can brighten someones day. ;)

ReplyDeleteHaha, this is perfect! My mom JUST got into nail polish (because of me), she's so cute about it (@tatmarg on Instagram)!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Click Click Bang Bang is really unique!
seems like this one is the fan favorite so far!
DeleteI'm loving click click bang bang. And yes, my mom always said she found me growing in some moss on the north side of a tree. I'm glad she didn't leave me there ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha aww, your mom was awesome! Click Click Bang Bang is pretty damned neat. I *almost* want to get a jelly (ugh) polish and try it.
DeleteI didn't inherit much from my mom, but I got her wonderful strong fingernails! She's the one who taught me to file my nails.
ReplyDeleteI've finally convinced my mom to let me do her nails and she's gotten so many compliments since I started doing them! She loves it! I'll also do my daughter's nails, and it absolutely brightens her day!

ReplyDeleteMy mom likes nail polish well enough, but isn't an enthusiast. She cannot, however, stand the sound of nails being clipped! LOL
ReplyDeleteoh man, I'm with her. I don't like that sound either!

ReplyDeleteMy sister once covered herself in an entire tube of mom's lipstick when she was a toddler.
