Green To Be Heard (S074) is a medium jade green cream.
Love love love! It's almost a one coater, but I used two to make sure it was opaque. It reminds me of OPI Jade Is The New Black and Sinful Colors Envy, but I don't think it's a true dupe for either. I think it's a touch bluer. Still, it might satisfy a lemming for either of them. I only wore it briefly for this swatch, but it seemed like it was trying really hard to stain. I'll be sure to wear a nude base under it next time for stain prevention.
Champagne Siren (S076) has small, dense gold glitter in a clear base.

This is just one coat! It applies densely and evenly and is really great for layering. It doesn't build well enough for me to want to wear it on its own though. There's a slight almost-greenish tint to the gold, so it might look odd in some pairings where gold would normally work. Looks awesome mattified too!
Vamp 'n' Vinyl (S080) has a plumy purple jelly base packed with gold and blue microfleck shimmer.
Gorgeous! This is three coats because the base is somewhat sheer. There's so much I love about this shade. Red-toned purples always get me. It reminds me a little of FingerPaints Plum Startled, but the shimmer is smaller and more varied in Vamp 'n' Vinyl. There's some gold shimmer to this that Plum Startled doesn't have.
I mattified this one too. I'm really loving OPI's new Matte Top Coat...that's got a post of its own coming soon-ish. Makeupalley user fourfs said that Vamp 'n' Vinyl reminds her of the coveted Zoya Savita when it's mattified. I'm not lucky enough to own Savita, but from swatches I agree!
Slumming On Sunset (S075) is a slightly cool-toned red jelly.
Perfection! Everything you want a jelly to be! No streaks, not too watery, and perfect for sandwiches. This is three coats for depth, but two would be fine. I don't really wear jellies on their own because my nail line is kinda funky. Those triangular dark spots aren't stains, they're parts of my free-edge that are clear while the rest of the free-edge is translucent. It's just how my nails are and it makes them look dirty when I wear jellies and sheers. I'll jump at jellies for sandwiching though!

I think I've finally found something to get me over the loss of Revlon Firecracker! I can't begin to say how much I love this combo...and I might love it even more mattified...

I gawped at this, open-mouthed, for a few minutes while taking photos. LOVE!! The pairing is even more dazzling in person. The depth of Slumming On Sunset is outstanding!

Fair Metal (S079) is a soft mauve metallic foil.
Something about foils...I love them in almost any color! Fair Metal is a tough one to describe. It's on that pink-purple borderline, so I just went with mauve. In another finish a color like this would be kinda matronly, but the brightness of the foil keeps it fresh and lively. This is two coats and the application was terrific. The cleanup was tough, but foils are like that. I see Spoiled and Sinful Colors compared often, to the point that they're occasionally mixed up, and Fair Metal would have fit perfectly into last fall's How Flash Metallics collection. I mattified it also,
Only In Creams (S077) is a light taupe cream.
A word here on Spoiled's notoriously bad brushes. I don't hate them as much as a lot of people do, but they're a hassle. I like a much firmer brush than these, and some of them are a bit ragged at the edge. Only In Creams has a good formula, but the brush makes it tougher to apply than it should be. I had to be very watchful to prevent the bubbles the brush kept trying to make. This is two coats. I love that Spoiled finally has a color I can wear to work...other than pinks which I wouldn't choose. I'm sure I'll be wearing this a lot.
Mar-zi-panna (S073) is a vivid light turquoise cream.
It's a really lovely shade, but it gives me corpse fingers. I took a lot of photos, yet this is the only one where my skin doesn't look purple. The formula is decent for something white-based. It's a little on the runny side, but not as chalky as some and not streaky at all. I used three coats. Watch out for staining. My nails are still a weird gray-blue from this.
Bottom line: Other than my personal skin-tone clash with Mar-zi-panna, I really like all of these! I don't have anything negative to say about the formulas themselves, but the infamous brush can cause application problems. I know people who won't use it and decant their Spoiled polishes into other brands' bottles. I can't blame them. Brushes aside, Slumming On Sunset, Green To Be Heard, Fair Metal, and Champagne Siren all apply really well. I'm absolutely in love with Vamp 'n' Vinyl and Slumming On Sunset. I'd recommend all seven of these if you can cope with the brushes and I can't wait to see others' swatches of Everyone's A-tomic.
In theory I'll be posting every day this week....at least that's the plan. I've got so much cool stuff to show you! I also found out that my time off request has been approved, so I'm off work from the morning of the 24th to the night of the 2nd. I need a break sooooooo badly! Not going away or anything. I do have some stuff to do in that time, but a lot of it will be "me time"....in other words, I'll be swatching! Might even clean the house a bit and maybe finish setting up my vanity table. I can't wait!
I had no idea that Spoiled was Wet N Wild. D'oh!! These colors look great, if I haven't been splurging lately, I would go grab at least half of them right now lol. Thanks for sharing!! :-)
ReplyDeletelol The writing of that part is suuuper tiny. Thanks! :) I had $7 in extrabucks, so I got these for $1 each! :D
DeleteLooooving these colors! Definitely picking up most of them!
ReplyDeleteThere are a few instant favorites for me here. I'm hoping someone swatches the orange one soon too.
DeleteLove these! I'm bummed about only getting 1 of the discontinued polishes, but I'll settle for these!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) A bunch of CVS's around here still have some of the old ones. Might be worth a look at one you don't normally visit, if you can.
DeleteSOMEONE ELSE WHO HAS/HAD REVLON FIRECRACKER!!! God, I friggin love that polish and still have it! My bottle of it thickened SO badly ages and ages ago. I'm seriously talking like, peanut butter texture. But I refused to throw it out because it was so amazing.
ReplyDeleteThen a few years ago I found polish thinner and my beauty is back. <3 <3 <3
Mine is sadly defunct. I think I finally got fed up and added remover...even though I knew it kills polish. I didn't know about thinner back then. The glitter eventually melted and I had to dump it. Still miss it, but this combo is close enough for me, I think.
DeleteGreat swatches, thank you!
ReplyDeleteSlumming On Sunset makes an awesome jelly sandwich! ^^
Thanks! :D I have a few other red jellies, but I think that's the best. I'll probably use it again around xmas.
DeleteYour swatches are amazing! I'm obsessed with mattifying all my polishes lately, too, lol.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me which shades were discontinued? I've tried Googling it, but I'm not coming up with anything.
Aww, thanks! :D My mattifying urge comes and goes...but it's in full force right now!
DeleteThe list of DC'ed Spoiled shades on Nouveau Cheap is Fuzzy Dice, Cougar Attack, Bite Me, Deeper Dive, First Class Only, Mind Your Own Beeswax, Violet Femmes, and Vitamin C.
Thank you! So glad I already have the ones I wanted out of those! :)
DeleteAww. I loved Cougar Attack!!
DeleteOh god, I need Slumming on Sunset and Champagne Siren. That combination is amaaazing!
ReplyDeletehehe Thanks! :D
