Pearly Queen has a sheer lilac base with a pink-to-green shift.

All of these swatches are two coats over a nude base with a ring finger accent over black, but Pearly Queen's the only one that's sheer enough for it to be noticeable. It reminds me of Sinful Colors' sheer duochromes, but isn't quite a match for any of them. It's also less sheer and the base is obviously lilac, even over black.

I'm really impressed with the strength of the shift. Aside from the Sinfuls, Pearly Queen also reminds me of OPI Fireflies. There's only a little brushstroking, but I still sponged it just to see the result.

Takes care of the brushstrokes and softens the definition of the shift. There's more shimmer this way too. I also mattified it. Looks a bit like a Layla Softouch when mattified.

Gold Save The Queen is an old gold with a red-to-green shift.

This is also two coats over nude, with a black accent on the ring finger...not that you can tell. It might make the shift a little bolder. The color of Gold Save The Queen is really unique and interesting. The only thing I can think to compare it to at all is maybe a softer take on the Peridot dupes. Way more flattering.

Gold Save The Queen barely has brushstrokes at all, but I still sponged it and the result is really cool!

It's also really interesting mattified.

Bronze Princess is a multichrome that shifts through green, gold, red, and purple.

WOW!! Intense! Like the other shades, I used two coats over a nude base and a black accent on the ring finger. You really can't tell *at all* that there's black under there. Bronze Princess is the boldest, but the formula's a little tricky. It was VERY thick. I thinned it before putting it away, so hopefully it'll be better next time. Still, absolutely gorgeous!

While the other two are just duochromes, Bronze Princess is a true multichrome. Look at all of these colors!

Sponging fixes any brushstrokes and boosts the already bold shift just a little more.

Mattifying makes the green tones much more prominent.

Bottom line: Wow are these great! I love all three! They're all wonderfully shifty, but Bronze Princess is by far the boldest and most intense. I didn't wear any of them on their own, but considering how they covered the black base I'm sure Bronze Princess and Gold Save The Queen would be opaque on their own in 2-3 coats. They're all on the thick side, but only Bronze Princess gave me any trouble. Nothing thinner won't fix.
This has only gotten me more excited than I already was for the other upcoming Fall, Halloween, and xmas polishes!! These will be hard to top though...

I picked these up from Kmart last night and love them as well! When I googled them, I noticed there are a couple more to this collection. I hope I can get my hands on them! I really liked all of the different ways you applied them.

ReplyDeleteThanks! :) I figured it out accidentally while doing a gradient. lol I did a gradient accent with some of the China Glaze New Bohemian collection last year and sponged the other nails to match...and they looked better that way.
DeleteI love these polishes :) I have purple reign, gold save the queen and royal blue and wear them on their own, two thick coats makes them opaque, or three thinner coats.
