Inspiration and Another Collaboration

I was cruising Pinterest, and I came upon a lovely black dress. It was dramatic and tough, but still feminine and lovely. I knew I needed it on my nails. This is the sort of dress I might even wear...if I had somewhere fancy to be. I showed it to my pal Shelly from Sealed with a Swatch, and she fell in love with it too. But since she is far more into makeup than I am, she decided to do an eye look inspired by it. We did one of these previously, and it was loads of fun. And this dress was the perfect excuse to do it again!

My Version

 Colors Used
Zoya Layla
L'Oreal L'Orange
Nicole by OPI Gold Texture
China Glaze Liquid Leather

I definitely felt like a grungy nail look was required for this dress. No idea why, but I really felt that this was the perfect inspiration for using the "acid washed" look. The only thing I'm not super pleased with is the gold nails. I should have done just a stripe, so the orange would show through more. But I do like how the black settled into the cracks on the gold.
natural light. I am pale.
