Tis the season, or whatever, for giving gifts. (Or buying yourself gifts. Who can argue with a good sale?) When you have a makeup obsessed person in your life, it's hard to find a good gift that they don't already have a ton of...or that will flatter. Enter the OCC Mini Set. It is the perfect stocking stuffer.
It comes with four 0.08 ounce lip tars, a wee brush for applying, and a handy little bag for keeping them safe. Now, 0.08 might not seem like much, but trust me when I say: it's plenty. You really need the smallest amount to get a good solid cover. I doubt that even a year of everyday use could finish off a tube. They are a little challenging to apply, and definitely need some practicing to master. (I'm certainly not there yet.) But the color payoff is so wonderful that it's worth the effort.
Lip tars also mix really well. I made the most wonderful vivid rose shade by mixing NSFW and Memento in a 1:1 ratio. I imagine that there are endless colors you can make. I could spend all day mixing the shades...and I'm sure you could too.
Basically if you've been wanting a lip tar, after reading all the rave reviews, but aren't sure which color to choose, grab this set. You get four colors, all of which are fairly flattering on most folks, and endless custom possibilities. All for $20. How can you go wrong?
Time for swatches! All the pictures are in natural/indirect light. (Please forgive my budding mustache, I'm keeping it real guys. In between waxings, it does grow back.)
the smallest amount is required. seriously. |

Wow. That's really impressive color.
ReplyDeleteit really is crazy how pigmented they are.
DeleteBlack Dahlia is AMAZING! Wow.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely need it. I don't think I've seen it look un-amazing on anyone.
DeleteI heard some people have been having issues with their tubes from these sets only being half full. Did you have any instances of that?
ReplyDelete(fifty years later) yeah I did. I emailed and they said it was normal.
