OPI Brazil: Amazon Amazoff

I'm not one to run out and get every new collection that comes out. (That is what Amanda is for!) But I do have a thing for teals...and this teal is amazing. You need it. If, like me, you are trying to keep to a smaller budget and can only grab one color from the OPI Brazil collection...make it this one!

It applies nicely and I only needed two coats for a solid layer. I did use Fingerpaints Neo Gothic Nude as undies for this, because teals and blues stain the hell out of me. This one is no different. The undersides of my nails are the prettiest shade of green right now...

I did notice, when looking very closely, that there is a fine bit of pearl in there. It is so fine, that at first I thought it was super-brushtrokey. Thankfully, it is so subtle that unless you stare very hard, you won't notice it. I think it just lends to the luminosity of this teal.

I liked it so much, I didn't want to take it off. An internet pal sent me this iridescent shard/glitter polish, and I've been dying to use it. I figured it'd be perfect with this teal, and I was mostly right. Except, this shit refuses to cooperate. Since I don't know its name, I'm gonna call it "Cactus Polish" because it's beautiful and pointy. I used a layer of Gelous and Seche Vite...and it was still stabby.

Then I layered on some of Butter London's Matte Top Coat. Ugh. So pretty. I need to get some mylar sheets, and just cover myself in them. If someone knows of a similar flake coat that is a bit denser...let me know? I must own it.

    1. you definitely should. It is the best teal I've stumbled across in quite a while.

  2. I keep picking it up and putting it back... I keep thinking I own something just like it when I see it, and then I put it back. But then I see a swatch of it and I'm all like oooooooh...
