If you follow me on Instagram , you may have seen my super-fabulous Sally's haul from this weekend. It was pretty epic, by my standards. I picked up the whole Gwen Stefani for OPI collection (except the red that wasn't there) and a couple of clearance items. One of those was this Orly beauty from the Galaxy FX collection.
If you have been paying attention thus far, you know I like spacey things. So a polish named after the Milky Way had to be mine. I believe this is part of the Spring 2014 line-up, so I was surprised to see it on clearance already. It was the only bottle, so I snapped it right up.
It is a perfectly serviceable pale aqua jelly that is jam-packed with glitter. As much as I like it, I honestly think that if it hadn't been on clearance, I would have passed on it. The amount of glitter here is too damned high, and it makes the polish gloopy. But it has a lovely look, and would probably wear fairly well if you can manage thin coats.
Expect more swatches this week, as I bought a lot of polish this weekend.

My sally's had nothing. I'm not sure what they do with the polish, it doesn't go on clearance, just disappears :( Or maybe it just sells out, who knows
ReplyDeletethat is awful! Up until recently, mine didn't have any clearance either. I think that only the busier/bigger stores get to keep their clearance stuff.

DeleteHaha. Sorry, that was me, but I didn't realized my friend was signed into gmail and when I saw I had posted of him it seemed weird so I just deleted the comment. I was just going to say that Sally Beauty tends to keep a lot of their clearance stuff in the back, and if you ask them about specific collections they can find it back there for you a lot of the time.
DeleteI bought this during the Sally's sale as well and was very disappointed. It was SO hard to apply. My bottle was so thick I had a hard time getting the brush out. I did two thin coats and it was a lumpy mess, even with two coats of top coat. I removed it two hours later. Boo. I bought another Orly FX of the space collection and it seems much more manageable.
