Batbano Blue is a vivid medium blue with a smooth metallic sheen.
There's something sooo automotive about Batbano Blue, isn't there? Cuba is renowned for being full of well-maintained classic cars, so I think it fits the theme perfectly. The glow is gorgeous! It's such a blue blue too, if that makes sense. It's intense and has that sharp sulfur tang that marks some of the boldest blue polishes. The formula's decent, taking only two coats and having only very minimal brushstroking. I did get some of the most minuscule bubbling I've ever seen, but it was hardly visible at all once I'd top coated. I did my standard quick stamping test and it does seem to stamp well. Don't be surprised if you see it again in that capacity.
...but be at least a little surprised if you see it painted on my nails again. Don't get me wrong... I don't actively dislike it, but something about it screams out to be a pedi and I think I'll love it on my toes instead of being lukewarm about it on my fingers. This is a case of "it's not you, it's me" because...I mean...this is hot-rod perfection and it even reflects my neighbors' houses like a well-waxed car would!
Bottom line: Decent formula and glossy, glowy beauty...but I really only see myself wearing it as a pedi.
It reminds me of the color of my first car....and also the color of my high school graduation cap and gown. It's a pretty blue...I just don't see it being a color I'd wear.
