Today is more of the "why did I wait so long to try this" stuff. Can you believe this is my first attempt with sharpies on my nails? I am a fool. A foolish, foolish fool.

So...I can't draw bats. Who knew? They are like drunken scribbles one would find on the Bat Cave's bathroom wall...but they totally work. In order to disguise my ineptitude, I added glitter. Glitter is like the bandaid of the polish world. It fixes everything.
And because no glitter should ever be not-matte...
Have you tried a sharpie manicure? Are you in love with the concept, like I am? I apologize, in advance, for the deluge of sharpie-fied fingers you will be seeing in the future...
Cute ! I love that Sally Girl glitter. So - acetone removes Sharpie ? Hmm, that would be handy to know for various reasons !
ReplyDelete:D Indeed! I think alcohol might work better. And a magic eraser kicks ass too.
DeleteI just used sharpie for the first time on a zombie mani and I was so angry I took so long to try that! They work so well!
ReplyDeleteI know! Did you feel like a giant dolt? I totally did. There is this whole world out there...and I didn't even know!
DeleteHow did you keep the sharpie from smearing? Every time I try sharpie nail art it gets smudged from top coat, no matter how careful I am!
ReplyDeleteI did have some smearing, but I've read that you can mist it with hair spray to keep that from happening. I would have tried it...but hairspray was far away and I am impatient!
DeleteYour bats turned out much better than mine would! I like the idea of using a sharpie!
ReplyDeleteI drew them six or seven times on a sheet of paper. No problem. As soon as I touched pen to finger...its like my brain decided to take a nap. :/
