I liked that ELF Red Scarlet so well that I couldn't put it away just yet. I decided to so something very loosely inspired by The Strain. It's a TV show about infectious vampires written by Guillermo del Toro. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it.
The tl;dr on the show, without spoiling too much, is that a CDC doctor is dealing with a vampire plague in the same way that one would deal with an outbreak of any disease. It starts off slow, but it is worth sticking with after a few episodes. There isn't a whole lot more I can say without spoiling some serious plot points.
Colors Used
ELF Red
NYC Sidewalkers
China Glaze Liquid Leather
Since the characters are treating the vampires like an outbreak, I decided to use a gray gradient (I read that as graaaaaaydient, btw) to suggest tainted blood. The black dots are supposed to be the infection. It's a little out-there, but I like it. I really like gray and red crimson together.
This time of year is awesome for spooking, spine-tingling, scary shows. Zombies, vampires, witches, ghouls...which one is your favorite?
