When a new set of stamping plates comes out, it's hard to really absorb all of the new designs. Somehow something...different escaped my notice when I bought Pueen's new Buffet Leisure set. Something...a little risque.
Pueen 90 finally caught my attention when I loaded the new set into my binder. I posted a photo of it on Instagram and Nichole (among others) insisted I give it a post all its own. Decals seemed imperative and now here we are.
The designs on the plate are very abstract, with a swirling and surreal feel to them, like a dirty daydream. I tried to play that up by using gray for the outlines and background. It makes the flesh-tone really stand out. The polishes are OPI Did You 'ear About Van Gogh?, Sally Hansen Grease Lightning, and Revlon Natural Tan. I finished it up with OPI's Matte Top Coat.
The results aren't perfect, but they're close to what I had in mind, so I'm happy.
The matte finish definitely looks better than the gloss did.
You'll be seeing more of this plate pretty soon, but Nichole was right. Pueen 90 is a stand-out and deserved special focus.
