Don't Panic

Sometimes, you start out with a plan...and you end up somewhere else. That is totally what happened here. I had this grandiose plan in my head but it just didn't work out like I hoped. Thankfully, I am still completely enamored with the final product. And with a little help from my friends, I found a good title! (thanks guys!)

colors used:
China Glaze Liquid Leather
China Glaze Def Defying
Cirque Colors Panacea
Octopus Party Absinthe-Minded

more than a few people were reminded of this guy

It may not be what I originally intended, but I think it turned out pretty damned neat. The dots were a tiny bit tedious though. You might see this reptilian color palette in the future though...I'm not one to give up easily.

  1. Love it! I'm not usually a huge fan of that lizardy lime green but this is mesmerizing!

  2. How did you do this? Just with a dotting tool? Really close dots?

    1. I just used my dotting tool. For the supertinytinytiny dots, I let the polish get a little tacky, and then just barely touched it to my nail. It doesnt look super tidy in macros, but it looks fine IRL.

  3. Yes, more details please. I thought it was a normal doticure but looking at the macro shot I'm wondering if it was more of a blobicure (as in done over a wet base coat) but with smaller "blobs" than most people use. At any rate it's lovely!

    1. thanks! It is a pretty normal/average dotticure...my base color was pretty well set when I started dotting. I think the addition of the seche vite made the dots bleed a bit and made it look like a blobicure.
