Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Chimera

promotional samples

Monday was full of love and femininity, so I figured this would be a good time to show the other side of that coin. Chimera is Dave's birthday color, and it is definitely cause for celebrations.

Chimera is a really lovely blackened olive holo with warm iridescent flakes. It is beautiful and tough and delicate all at the same time. I barely needed two thin coats for the photos below, and less-fussy people could probably get away with a single thick coat.

The flakes really pop indoors, but are so coy when it comes to photograping...there was a good amount of cursing during the editing process. I ended up taking about 75 pictures trying to capture those damned things...which kills me because my eyes see them clearly. But I did manage to capture a few of the different faces here...so at least I feel like I showed why this polish is aptly named.

This polish (and another that I'll be showing soon) were released very quietly on Sunday (Dave's birthday). Fortunately he has a plethora of stalkers, and people noticed. At the time of writing this, it was still available in his shop. I dunno when/if there will be a restock, so you might want to scamper over and check! Or harass him on Facebook to get him to restock it!
